PAP-FOR Russia is the largest pulp and paper event in Eastern Europe, bringing together the latest cutting edge products, innovative ideas and modern industry technologies. Nominated for "The best debut" award, NSK created a stand that was designed to offer visitors concise information on all aspects of bearing design and development within the paper and pulp industry.
This year more than 90 exhibitors were at the show for the first time, from this group NSK was nominated for, and won, the best debut award. NSK exhibited a number of innovative bearing solutions designed specifically for the paper and pulp industry including a range of centrifugal pump bearings as well as energy saving bearings for high efficiency motors.
The four day event represents an excellent opportunity for all those involved in the industry to establish new partnerships and develop new business opportunities. With 11,000 m2 of exhibition space, 261 exhibitors and 28 countries represented, there was a great deal for the visitors to experience. Now in its 21st year, the biennial expo has, for the first time, been held at a new venue, the Expoforum in St Petersburg.
Due to the nature of this industry, many visitors were interested in the NSK Molded-Oil range of bearings that offer excellent performance and reliability in water and dust contaminated environments without external lubrication. These bearings are practically frictionless and also provide excellent protection against dust penetration. In addition the Molded-Oil lubricant minimises the risk of oil leaks and, therefore, avoids contamination of the pulp and the machine itself.
NSK also showcased the NSKHPS range which is setting the standard for roller bearings. Designed for high speeds and loads, the NSKHPS spherical roller bearing series is made from state-of-the-art materials that can double the expected bearing life and increase the limiting speed by 20 percent. The NSKHPS cylindrical roller bearing series offers up to 60 percent increased bearing life and is available with a choice of four different cages.
